MORE INFORMATION
Westminster Abbey
This magnificent Gothic building - England’s most important church - has been the site of every coronation since 1066 and is the final resting place of many Kings. Last seen by millions across the world in 1997, the funeral of Diana, Princess of Wales, took place here too.
On Sundays, and other days when there is a religious service, the Tour will visit the Cloisters and Chapter House.
British Government
We drive past the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and Downing Street, the official London residence of the British Prime Minister.
Changing of the Guard
We alight near Pall Mall, and go to Buckingham Palace, the London residence of HRH the Queen, for the Changing of the Foot Guard; or to Horseguards Parade, to see the Changing of the Household Cavalry. Both ceremonies are wonderful, colourful spectacles.
The Ancient City of London
Centuries ago English Monarchs had to ask the Mayor’s permission to enter the ‘square mile’. We discover its fascinating history, including its emergence from the Great Fire of 1666 and the Blitz of 1940/41.
St Paul's Cathedral and Temple Church
We stop for photos at the outstanding masterpiece of Sir Christopher Wren and also the small church made famous by ‘The Da Vinci Code’.
Lunch in Covent Garden
Enjoy lunch in a quintessential British pub in the Covent Garden area, a stone’s throw from the theatres, fashionable boutiques, and street entertainers that line this lively district.
The Tower of London & Crown Jewels
This awesome medieval fortress dates back over a thousand years and is filled with the haunting memories of torture and imprisonment.
The rich royal history can be seen at every turn, especially the breathtakingly beautiful Crown Jewels. Have your picture taken with the traditional Beefeaters too.
After our guided tour you will have time to explore on your own – see the Bloody Tower, Traitors’ Gate, the Royal Chapel and the White Tower, built by King William the Conqueror in 1078.
